How we calculate it
What you enter
- Area (m²)
- EPS thickness (cm)
- Dowels per m²
- Adhesive (kg/m²)
What to watch out for
The number of anchors depends on building height and wind zone — 6 per m² is typical for the ground and first floor. Count mesh with a 10% overlap.
Formula
m² per pack = 0.30 × 100 ÷ EPS thickness
EPS packs = ⌈ Area ÷ m² per pack ⌉
EPS boards = ⌈ Area ÷ 0.5 ⌉
anchors = ⌈ Area × Dowels per m² ⌉
adhesive total = Area × Adhesive kg
mesh = Area × 1.10 m²

Frequently asked questions
How many dowels per m² of insulation?
6 per m² is typical for a ground floor and a first floor. The number depends on the height of the building and the wind zone, so enter more for taller walls.
How much mesh does the insulation need?
Mesh is counted with a 10% overlap, because neighbouring strips have to lap over each other. The calculator adds that overlap to the façade area.
